Toronto downtown is beautiful. The graffiti, streetcars, little cafés, busy sidewalks, old buildings, street lights, people rushing somewhere, and thousands of little stories happening at the same time.

REQUEST!
This was my first shoot with Mrittika and Deepta, and naturally, they were a little nervous. There were questions about how to pose, how to look good in photographs, and what they were supposed to do in front of my camera.
But I quickly realized they weren't really a posing couple. I saw friendship, love, and a beautiful candidness between them.
So I made just one request:
I'm not an invisible man, and I know I'm a little too overweight to pull that off! So I just asked them to forget I was there. Pretend this was simply a day for the two of them, roaming around their very own Toronto.
It worked. What started with some shy, awkward hand-holding and a kiss on the forehead slowly turned into something much more natural. They started using everything around them, the streets, the lamp posts, the streetcar, the city itself.
And then, out of nowhere,
Deepta lifted Mrittika up
while I was standing across the street.
For a little while, the busy downtown disappeared. There was just Mrittika and Deepta, laughing, trusting each other and slowly falling a little more in love with the city they now call home.
Mrittika and Deepta, it was such a pleasure spending this little piece of Toronto with you.
I hope this city keeps giving you both a thousand more moments like these.

A MILE-LONG REVIEW, JUST AS SWEET AS THEM
We booked Razeeb almost six months in advance for our post-wedding shoot, because apparently some things in life are simply too important to leave to chance. 😌 And after seeing the pictures, I can confidently say that was one of our better life decisions.
From the very beginning, he made the whole experience feel so easy and natural. It never really felt like a photoshoot. It felt more like we were on a date, being our usual slightly chaotic selves, while he followed us around like a very talented paparazzi who somehow knew exactly when to click. 😂
He even made the random tourists around us feel comfortable enough to stop, take a little peek at us, and made them tell us we were “too cute to handle,” which honestly still makes me laugh. 😂
What means the most to me is that he didn’t just take beautiful pictures; he somehow captured us. The tiny laughs, the awkward moments, the random conversations, the way we naturally are with each other. I had so many imaginary pictures in my head before the shoot, and somehow the real ones turned out even better, which honestly feels a little unfair to my imagination.
Razeeb was warm, patient, funny and so easy to be around that we almost forgot there was a camera involved. And I think that comfort is exactly what made the photos feel so personal.
Years from now, I know we won’t just look at these pictures and remember how we looked. We’ll remember the day, the laughter, the cities, this phase of our lives, and all the little feelings in between. That is such a precious thing to be able to give someone.
Thank you, Razeeb, for turning a photoshoot into a memory of its own and for giving us photographs that feel so completely, wonderfully us. We are genuinely so grateful. ♥️
Toronto was such a big part of our story. Thank you for letting us become a tiny story within it.
